The temperatures are cooling off here in Central Arizona; Fall is in the air. Summer is over; another chapter is closed. We had a great summer with so many wonderful adventures and memories. We enjoyed sharing them with you.
We went on several different hikes together and discovered some beautiful places to explore locally.
We also went on some trips away from home and visited some gorgeous places along the way. I hope you enjoyed following our summer adventures as much as we enjoyed sharing them with you. Now … bring on the new season … Hello Fall!
Here on the ranch, when the temperature rises to the 90’s, it is time for the doggy pool. Willy was totally prepared.
With swim goggles and swim trunks on, it was time to dive in and cool off. Boy oh boy, did that cool water feel good on such a hot day!
Once Willy was cooled off, it was time for a little sunbathing on his doggy size beach towel.
Willy tried to get his buddies to come swim with him, but they would rather be in the air-conditioned house. Oh well, more room for Willy. He loves the water. Any water – cow tanks, horse troughs, dog water troughs, sprinklers, swimming pools, but not bath water.
After a fun-filled afternoon getting cooled off in the pool, Willy was ready for a relaxing nap. So he let the sun dry him off while he kicked back on his towel and then we went into the nice cool house.
Until next time, may your summer days be filled with love and laughter.
Willy Loved to go check the waters and put out salt with us.
Living on a ranch definitely has its advantages. It is a great life for dogs. Willy, always ready for adventure, was overjoyed to get in the ranch truck and help us out. On this particular day we were checking to make sure the water supplies were full and the cattle had salt blocks to lick.
Willy started out clean, but he didn’t end up that way. Boys will be boys, they say. I guess it rings true for dogs as well.
We let Willy and his pal Rusty go swimming. They had a blast swimming, chasing sticks, chasing butterflies, and running in the mud!
Life is too short, sometimes you just have to get good and dirty. Why not? It washes off. Until next time, Happy Trails!
